# About BackResto

> BackResto is the HACCP compliance app restaurants fill in during service. This portal documents the Partner API, which lets the software those businesses already use read their records.

## What BackResto does

Kitchen teams use BackResto on a phone or a tablet to record what food safety rules require: goods-in checks with product temperatures and photographs, fridge and sensor readings, cooling and reheating, cleaning plans with photographic proof, fryer oil checks, surface analyses and traceability labels. These records are what a health inspector asks to see.

## Who the Partner API is for

Software vendors and integrators who work for restaurants, for example management tools, multi-site dashboards and AI assistants. The API is read-only. A key only reaches the restaurants that agreed to share their records, and only the record types they agreed to.
